SwipeClean

Privacy Policy

Effective 2 November 2026

The short version

1. Who we are

SwipeClean is developed and published by Overspill Technologies ("we", "us"). This policy explains how SwipeClean handles information. In short: your data stays on your device.

2. Information we collect

None. Overspill Technologies does not collect, receive, store, sell or share any personal information or usage data from SwipeClean. The app has no user accounts and no backend servers, and it contains no analytics or crash-reporting tools of our own.

3. Your photos and videos

SwipeClean asks for permission to read your photos and videos so it can show them to you and help you clean them up. All processing, including duplicate, similar-photo and blur detection, happens locally on your device. Photos and videos are never uploaded, copied off your device or shared. When you delete items, SwipeClean asks Android to delete them; no copy is kept.

4. Data stored on your device

To work, SwipeClean keeps a small amount of information in private storage on your device only: your settings (such as the Recycle Bin timer), the Recycle Bin list, your History (items you kept, deleted or restored, with file name, size and date), daily swipe counts and whether Premium is active. This data never leaves your device, is excluded from Android cloud backup and device transfer, and is deleted when you uninstall the app. You can clear History at any time in the app.

5. Ads in the free version (Google AdMob)

The free version of SwipeClean shows ads served by Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC, including banner, full-screen, rewarded and muted auto-playing video ads. To show and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect information such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, device and app information and ad interaction data, and processes it under Google's own privacy policy. This information goes directly to Google; Overspill Technologies does not receive or store it.

6. Purchases (Google Play)

Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed entirely by Google Play. We never see or store your payment details. Google Play tells the app only whether you own Premium, and that check happens on your device. Google's handling of payment data is covered by the Google Payments privacy notice.

7. Permissions we use

8. Children

SwipeClean is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

9. Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. Your on-device data is under your control: clear History in the app, or uninstall SwipeClean to remove everything. For ad-related data, use the choices in section 5 or contact Google.

10. Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the copy in the app, and change the effective date above.
